Product Description
The Swobo Merino Short-Sleeve Cycling Jersey will change the way you think about wool. Wool is warm in the winter, even when you sweat, and cool in the summer thanks to fantastic temperature regulation properties. This Swobo top wears like iron thanks to bar-tacked stress points and wide ribbing at the cuffs and neck. It fits supremely well, and the New Zealand Merino wool feels super soft even on bare skin.

Wool is the way to go; if you don’t currently use wool, you are missing out! All the synthetic materials are just trying to imitate what wool can do so why not just use the original performance material? I found a wool jersey on sale in a local shop a couple months ago and decided to give it a try. I LOVE wool! It breaths well, blocks wind, doesn’t get the perma-funk like synthetic materials and is way softer and more comfortable on your skin. Now I have 4 wool jerseys.

I have both the long sleeve and short sleeve version of this jersey and like both. My long sleeve one fits a bit oddly as I think they didn’t put in enough elastic so it really pulls across pocket tops, resulting in a very tight mid-section. The short sleeve doesn’t have this problem at all. For fit, I love that the sleeves come down to just above the elbow, the back goes lower than the front for on the bike coverage and the fit is snug. I’m 6′1″, 175 lbs with a 41 inch chest, 31 inch waist and the Medium fits perfectly.

The sleeves are a little long but the jersey is still so good at the price.

When I took this out of the box, I was surprised at how thick the fabric felt. It seems much more substantial than the smartwool tops I have. Still, I’ve worn it on hot weather rides, and the wool performs as described, doing a good job of wicking away sweat, and keeping me cool. I’m sure that once the weather gets cool again it will do a good job of keeping me warm as well. I kinda wish I had picked up a couple when they were on sale.

I purchased a few of these cycling jerseys for my wife this winter, though that is not what we use them for. They are fantastic for staying warm while snowmachining or during other outdoor activities. Now that it is summer, they come in quite handy for their intended purpose. Great fit, great look/style, warm and not itchy!
